For your primitive doll dress collection ~ a nice late 1890's brown check homespun doll dress. It is hand stitched with small cartridge pleats at the waist. Chicken scratch embroidery embellishes the dress around the neck line, center front of bodice, back of bodice at the opening, and cuffs.
The same treatment also borders the lower part of the skirt. A narrow picot edging is a nice compliment to the embroidery at the neck line. Dress is constructed with long sleeves and full skirt. Back opening, which safety pinned closed.
Size: 12" long from the neck line to hem. 3-1/2" across from shoulder to shoulder. 5" long sleeve. 3" cuff opening. 10" around chest. Waist 10" around
Condition is very nice. You may find a tiny hole or two and a spot from oxidation, although I did not see any.
