Waste not! This little boy's blue and white homespun shirt reflects this saying. Dating from the late 19th century, the shirt buttons down the front with white china buttons. Lovingly worn and expertly patched with the sleeves of blue calico fabric ~ what could be more charming. Upper part of the bodice is lined in the same homespun fabric as the outside. Hand and treadle machine sewing. Button holes are done by hand.
Size: Would fit a child about 6 to 8 years old. Length of the shirt from neck line to hem is 16-1/2" long. Width across the shoulders 11". Chest is 32" around.
Condition: Endearing...what more can I say. If you love fade, a few holes and mends, this shirt would be just for you. It will fit with a primitive past.
