Waste not! This little boy's blue and white homespun stripe shirt reflects this saying. Dating from the late 19th century, the shirt buttons partially down down the front with white china buttons.
It would have slipped over the head. Lovingly worn, it does have a few small holes and fades. Upper part of the bodice is lined in the same homespun fabric as the outside. Hand and treadle machine sewing. Button holes are done by hand.
Size: Would fit a child about 8 to 10 years old. Length of the shirt from neck line to hem is 17" long. Width across the shoulders 13". Chest is 34" around.
Condition: Endearing...what more can I say. If you love fade, a few holes, this shirt would be just for you. It will fit with a primitive past.
