Even simple necessary items were presented in a charming way, such as this box of hairpins.  Dating from the early 1900's, the pansy covered box opens to reveal hairpins  for milady's hair.  This cute little vanity / dresser offering was perfect for selecting a hairpin easily. 

Box is completely covered in paper except part of the bottom.  When closed, the height of the box measures 2-3/8" tall x 1-7/8" wide x 5/8" deep.  Condition is very nice.
