An early 20th Century Christmas tree ornament of tinsel, glass and twisted wire.  The blown glass, in a golden color is in a tear drop shape then wrapped in twisted wire.  Gold tinsel outlines the edge of the ornament with a tail to further define the tear drop shape. Although no country of origin is indicated, it probably is German.

From the top of the ornament to the bottom tail of tinsel it is  7-1/2" long.  At the widest point it measures 2-1/2" across.  

The condition is very nice considering the age.  Some slight tarnish to the wire that wraps the ornament but relatively minor.
