A cute pair of Victorian 1880's child's low cut shoes with raised heel. The shoe features a button strap with a highlight of pinked leather and cut steel embellishment. This same style embellishment also appears on toe of the shoe.
Creamy white shoe button fastens the strap. Detailed stitching also gives the shoe an extra touch. Imprinted on the bottom of the sole the letters WOR. I assume this was the maker. Shoes have been worn although not a great deal. Some slight soiling.
Length of shoes from heel to toe is 5"long. 2-7/8" across the ball of foot. 6-1/2" around the ankle.
Overall condition of the shoe and leather is nice. The cut leather embellishment consist of a larger bow and smaller bow, with a cut steel garnishment. Behind the cut steel is a piece of red leather, which is the same size as the metal piece. One red leather is missing from one of bows. This is the only flaw I found. The bows do need a bit of fussing as they want to curl up.
