Fashionable later Victorian cloak or cape frog fastener. Made of black braid, with stylish curlicues, balls and twisted trim, this larger clothing frog dates from the 1880's or 1890's. A beautiful trim accessory for costuming, mourning clothes or steampunk dressmaking.  

Size of the frog is 9-1/2" long, at the center to the ends of the looped braids.  Width, at the widest point is 6-1/2" wide. 

Condition is very nice.  A great piece with little or no usage.
