A late Victorian or early 1900's, Shaker sewing pouch made of silk, cardboard and ribbon. Found in New England, this small holder would have been the perfect size for storing thread, needles and thimble.
The three-sided case is handmade with the silk moire fabric covering the shaped cardboard. Each panel is a different color silk and all handstitched.
Silk ribbon bows accent each end of the pouch.
Size is 4" x 2-1/2".
Condition is decent but not perfect with breaks of the fabric at the top edges. Note photos.
