A lovely beaded dress embellishment from the Victorian, Edwardian time period.  Made of gold, black and clear beads in different sizes and shapes.  Black soutache braid is used for the base of the upper portion of the beadwork, forming an outline pattern. The beads are then filled into these opened spaces and worked on top of the soutache, making a pattern of scrolls, zig zag and vertical lines.  The bottom portion, are of long strands of bead, forming tassels.  Black and clear beads alternate with gold. 

Size of the beaded embellishment is 8-1/4" long.  Widest point is 2-1/2" wide.  Length of just the beaded tassel area is 4" long.

Condition:  Nice.  I found no broken or missing beads. 

Suitable for costuming, DIY projects, sewing, crafts or any other artistic expression.
