Fancy needlework of all kind were employed by Victorian women. This pincushion, pin keep is an example of the type of Victorian craft, ladies would work with a needle.  Hand made, the cushion is covered in a silk brocade with a flower design. 

Tied with cascading ribbon bows, a loop of ribbon forms the hanger, so the pincushion could be hung for easy accessibility.  An original group of black and white straight pins form a line on the top edge of the pincushion. A perfect spot for a pin keep. 

Size:  3-1/4" wide x 3-1/2" long, to the top of the cushion.  With the ribbon hanger, over all length is 6-1/4"long.

Condition: Very nice.
