Here is a gorgeous late Victorian or Edwardian pillow cover of daises embroidered in goldenrod yellow for a autumn look. It is a silk embroidery on a tan cotton. Pillow backing is also a tan fabric. The lovely decorative motif of the continuous daisy border makes this an eye catching beauty. The pillow is also embellished with a mesh and woven edging ruffle in the same color shades as the flowers.
Just a footnote about the ruffled edging. This was a purchased edging sold in a number of yards lengths (enough to edge a pillow). It had a draw string on one side to gather the ruffle before sewing to the pillow cover. I am sure there were a number of manufacturers producing this type of ruffled trim, however, one that comes to mind is Brucilla. Just an interesting fact you might find fascinating.
This is a large size pillow 27-1/2" x 26-3/4" including the ruffle width of 3-1/2".
Condition: Cover has never been used or laundered so you will find a couple of very light soil. Nothing more than a small spot.
