Here's an interesting piece of vintage stumpwork embroidery from the 1940's. The embroidery of the pillow top is nicely done, especially the bird having a great primitive look. 

This was a kit or a stencil pattern goods printed by Barker Products Co, Chicago, Ill. The stamped pattern, which was then tacked to the black, or charcoal gray, wool /cotton fabric background and then the embroidery work. 

Size is 16" x 16".

Condition: Embroidery is good.  The dark fabric does have some wear and a couple tears at the top of the bird's head.  Embroidery is very nice.

Repurpose or recycle into another project.
