What a lovely idea for storing napkins! This lovely napkin holder, or case, would be as useful today, as it was in the 1920's, for keeping napkins together and always at hand.
The fabric is so lovely with its print of dusty roses on a muted stripe background.
Made of four flaps, each laying over the top of other to form the case. Thread loops and small white buttons fasten the case.
Measurement is: 10-1/2" square.
The case would probably hold a dozen to maybe two dozen napkins. A piece of cardboard is inserted inside a pocket on the inner bottom of the case to keep the case stiff and formed. The cardboard, over time, has become brittle and would need to be replaced.
Condition of the holder is very nice. Possibly has never been used. Sorry, the light spot on the edge of the case is actually from the light. The case is very nice.
Here would be a perfect gift giving for a bridal shower filled with your choice of napkins.
