Perfect for country primitive costuming or decorating, these 1920's kids overalls are true blue, home sewn and adorable. They have just the right amount of wear, mends and style to fulfill your every primitive wish.
The faded blue cotton fabric is a dense weave. Very much like denim. Bib front with side closures. Cross straps over the back and shoulders. Muslin interface is sewn on the shoulder straps, from the edge of the front to the side buttons, then across the back at waist. All to give more support to the fabric.
Two of the original metal work wear buttons are on the garment. One at the side opening and one on the back strap fastening to the waist. Embossed name of the button is Slip Over (Reg). The button resembles a collar stud type and slips through two button holes. The third button is a brown 4-hole. The fourth button is missing on the other shoulder strap. This is just pinned.
Small patch pocket on one side of the front.
Worn with love, there is a hole in the front side leg. Some oxidation from storage. Plus, the one missing button as stated.
Measurements: 28" long from the middle of shoulder straps to the hem. 24" around the waist. Pant leg is 17-1/2" long.
Just acquired this great find ~ dating the overalls from the 1920's, perhaps a bit earlier or later.
