An early 1900's red and white cotton mattress tick cover in a small check plaid. Dates from the later Edwardian - 1920's. It is completely open on one end with no closures and is made of four width of fabric (two on each side).
Each width about 30" in width (60" x 76-1/2" in length). Scale of the square plaid is 1-1/8". On one side there is a long narrow mend (see photo) about 36" in length.
It has had repeated washings so the fabric is faded to a nice used look.
No other stains or damage that I found.
