A so pretty rice linen table cloth or table topper doily with lovely embroidery of roses, tiny stitches and drawnwork. A sheer rice linen fabric in a white. A vintage item from about 1930's - 1950's.
Condition of the cloth very nice, with the possibility it has never been used.
The square (or almost square ,( 40" x 39") luncheon cloth is embellished with a rose in each of the four corners. It delightfully trails filling most of the corner with padded leaves, rose petals and stems. Some of the filling stitches are very tiny and delicate.
Another delight is the drawnwork accenting each of the roses in the corners but also displaying a 3" square situated between the corner flowers. Above each of these area, a tiny butterfly.
Hemstitching finishes the wide border hem.
