Vintage 1940's or early 1950's, a Sterling greeting card Christmas gift box.  Marked on the back Sterling, Chicago, 2166A.  An embossed card of a lovely white Christmas tree, decorated with the glow of candles. 

Framed with a red ribbon streamer and tied at the side with a real ribbon bow,  At the edge of the white card, embossing of holly berry. 

Opening the card, it reveal a box shape, possibly for enclosing a hankie or other small article.  The green on the two sides do have a slot, however, I don't see why.

Card is very decent condition with just a tiny nick on the corner.  Very minor.

Size is 5-3/4" x 7-1/2".
