A vintage child's winter dress in brown plaid wool with a diagonal plaid trim in a red.  Dating 1880's, the dress fastens completely down the front with an incised brown button. Round neck line with a peter pan collar and bishop style long sleeves. 

The red plaid trim is used for the collar, trimming the front opening and a band around the sleeve.  Dress is completely lined in a brown cotton plaid fabric.  Including the sleeves.  

Measurements:  19-3/4"long from the neck line to the hem.  10-3/4" across from shoulder to shoulder.  23" around the chest.  Sleeve length 7-3/4" long.

Condition:  For the age, very nice.  A few small shreds to the wool but minor.

Wonderful for display, museum or the research of a time period.
