Shopping for a primitive doll dress for a cloth doll or rag doll? Here's a cute little dress dating from the 1890s.  Made of red with white check cotton fabric, the dress is treadle machine sewn. Simple neck line with self bias fabric trim. 

The sleeves are puffy with gathers at the cuff.  Top gathered waist line attaches to the bodice.  Three small pearl buttons fasten the back of dress.  Button holes are handmade.

Measurement:  12" long from the neck line to the hem. 4" across the shoulders, from side to side.  10" around the chest.  11" around the waist.  Sleeve length is 5" long. 6" around the neck opening.  3" around the cuff opening.  

Condition:  Some light fading.  A few holes, although nothing major.  Just the right grunge for a kindred spirit.
