The muted print of the vintage fabric doily roll keeper press cover is absolutely charming.  So soft with quiet tones and yet exquistive.  Dating from the Edwardian era (I am sure before 1920's) the fabric is covered in many floral species.  It is a cotton print and in good condition.  Even the bias binding is in nice condition.  At the one end, the fabric is sewn for a cardboard tube to be inserted.  The other end has two string ties to fasten the roll after the dolies are laid inside, rolled to be stored.  Ah, what a clever idea to keep table linens fresh and ready to use.  I never had many of these rolls but when I have they are a treat, as I find no two were ever made quite the same.

This lovely fabric could be repurposed for some other project.  This particular roll would be so perfect for a valance shade at a window as it has an opening (3" wide) for inserting a rod or dowel at the top (or you could use a cardboard tube). Size of a rod, dowell or tube would be 1-1/2" diameter or a bit more to fit this 3" opening.   Size of the fabric  is 29" wide x 30 long.  Center, at the ties is a tad longer.

No cardboard tube available for this keeper.
