Play dishes have always been a part of the world of pretend for most little girls. Although the style of these play things have changed from generation to generation they, nevertheless, were a part of child's play.
I am offering this child's toy tin sugar bowl with embossed tin side, filigree handles and covered lid from the later 19th Century....a sweet play thing from a child's past.
The condition of this toy is very nice considering it was to be played with and was played with. The top edge of the tin is slightly out of round and some slight surface rust. Aside from these small flaws I found no other imperfections.
The handles are soldered to the sides. The loop handle on the top of the lid fits through slots in the lid as you see in the photo's below.
Size: 2-1/4" tall to the top of the loop knob on lid. Diameter across the base 2". Side handles extend outward 5/8" on either side.
