Now how could you not love the graphics of this Victorian fabric pillow top? The lithograph printed top features two dogs, sitting under a tattered umbrella, waiting for the sun to shine again. It is titled SLOPPY WEATHER. The expression on their faces says it all! Even sitting tight together in the center to keep their little bodies as dry as possible.
It appears the pillow top was never stitched to a fabric backing, so never used. However, it was not stored very well as the back does show oxidation. Some on the front, which sort of blends, but mostly on the back. It was stored folded, too. One tiny hole at the bottom edge and another tiny one at the top edge. Neither are disruptive. It might, if sewing a back to it, to make a pillow, these tiny holes could possibly be caught in the seam so wouldn't show. Still the subject matter, to me, outweighs the flaws it may have.
Size is 23-3/4 x 23.
A great decorator piece. Suitable for framing as wall art, too.
