Fashions, needlework, ads and more, are featured in this vintage Needlecraft magazine of August 1925.  This magazine is nice, complete with covers but missing the four middle pages. What's popular in the year 1925?  Pretty table linens such as an embroidered and hand crochet table runner for living room or library. 

The stencil pattern had to be ordered but the directions for the crochet inset are given in in the article.  Other crochet include yoke for sleepwear or underclothing, edging trims etc.  If you like Hardanger, there is a beautiful centerpiece doily example.

Now, in the fashion line,  the daffodil sweater and vest would be a treat. It, too, has complete directions.  A page of tatted edgings and yoke collars may be just your thing.  

Of course, what woman's magazine would be without a few recipes.  These tasty recipe are for a picnic lunch, including different sandwich fillings and BEST a great sounding recipe for pineapple cake.  Now this sounds delicious.  To top off your picnic, a thermos of fruit drink!  Lunch for the front porch, wouldn't you say?
