An adorable completely hand made pair of baby shoes booties,  button up high top boots from the Civil War era, made for a precious baby. Fabric of the shoes are wool.  Shoes are embroidered, in a blue silk thread, in an all over floral design. 

Further thread work accents around the top edge, vamp, and boot where it meets the sole.  Bottom of the sole is hand stitched in rows to reinforce the wearability using small even stitches.  Shoes fasten with china buttons. Two on either shoe.  Three buttons are calico stencils buttons in a hatch pattern.  The fourth button is a white china. 

Size:  Length is 4" long from toe to heel.  1-1/2" across the width.  2" in height.  6" around the top opening.

Condition:  Amazingly nice!
