From the 19th century, 1840 to Civil War era, a long simple baby dress.  Made of pink muslin, the dress is completely hand stitched.  It has short sleeves, constructed in a bell shape.  Piping between the sleeve and armhole seam. 

Four decorative thread buttons accent the top of each sleeve.  Drawstring neck line.  Short belt tabs, sewn in the side seams that fasten in the back with, yet another, thread button.  Dress is made with gusset side seams. 

A sweet dress that would fit a paper mache or cloth or rag doll. 

Condition:  It has recently been laundered and pressed.  Still, it does show numerous oxidation spots from storage.  A charming repair patch, also, on the back of the skirt, near the opening.  Length of the dress is 26-1/2" long.  7" across the shoulders but would adjust.  16" around the chest, again, this would adjust.
