From the roaring 20's, a Great Gatsby look to this period cloche hat in a helmet style.  What a dazzler! The hat is a patchwork of gold and silver mesh pieced with faux fur. The edges of the fur are embroidered in a green thread, in a zig zag style.

To define and separate all the elements of the fabrics, gold sequins are used to further embellish this creation.  Inside edge is lined in brown velvet with the remainder of the inside lined in tan rayon silk.   

Measurement:  21" circumference around the inside edge.

Condition:  A few missing gold sequins at the top edge, at the center, of the hat (see photo).  Probably about five.  There may be a few at the center back edge of hat also but can't tell for sure. Some tarnishing to the silver and gold metallic, which would be normal for the age.   Hat is soft body, so was found folded all these years, so does have a couple of small creases.  I have stuffed it with tissue to help relieve the crease marks.  Inside lining does have a couple small shred in the top part.  Relatively minor.
