For the love of wooden kitchen ware, I couldn't resist to buy.  Whether the items were hand made or manufactured didn't matter as much as who were these people who used these objects? This great old farmhouse primitive dates from the late 1800's - early 1900's. 

Often than not, history of the piece is never known, but nevertheless the thirst to wonder is very much alive. By sheer observation of the item itself, gives clues to the usage.  

With that said, there comes a point in life where it is time to part.  Yes, I have become an old friend, but hoping a new friend will await to take ownership and love this masher as much as I.

As you note from the photos, this is a nice wood potato masher with a turned handle and knob at the top. A sturdy piece with a good solid base. Beveled bottom base edge.  Time worn patina with no splits to the wood.  One small gouge of wood at the side base but shallow enough to hardly notice.

Size is 11-1/4" tall.  Base is 3-3/4" tall x 2-1/4" in diameter.
