One of those little sewing accoutrements, dating from the Victorian or early 1900's ~ the thread waxer. This waxer, in the shape and color of a pumpkin, has a marked sterling top stem. A small loop for hanging is situated at the top of the stem, which would have attach to a chatalaine.
Size of the waxer is 1" high x 7/8" wide. The waxer is in good condtion, with no more than the usual scuffs, or tiny nicks attributed to a wax product. It does not appear to have been used for waxing thread. The sterling stem does show some tarnish.
Now this is just pure charming! Neat to add to a sewing collection.
