Cases, bags and boxes were a Victorian or Edwardian lady's necessity for storing items, such as gloves.  Here's a natural linen glove bag or case, hand embroidered with a circle of pink flowers on the front of the case.  The word "GLOVES" embroidered on the fold over flap.  Button hole stitch outlines the scallop edge of the flap.   All embroidery is done in silk thread.  

The case is 12-1/2" long x 6-1/4" wide. 

Condition:  The case has been used, still very nice.  A few small frays to the thread of the button hold stitch at the edge of the flap.  Very minor.  A couple of the petals shows more of a golden color rather than the true pink.  You will notice from a close up of the flowers.

Why not store a collection of pretty gloves in this lovely case.
