Dress your child or decorate your cabin for a winter look with this vintage stocking knit beanie cap. Cap dates from about 1910 to 1920.

Made of a knit wool in two subtle colors tones of a slightly darker shade of cream on the upper portion of the cap and a lighter shade on the lower.  The wide turn up brim is of the darker shade.  A sheered pom pom wool ball accents the top of cap.  Light cream sheer silk ribbon ties the hat under the chin. 

Even though the ribbon shows shredds, I don't believe this cap was worn.  Practically minty clean and super nice condition just makes it a charmer. 

Size:  Maybe for an older baby, toddler or young child.   14" around the lower edge.  If stretched, it would fit a head about 16" or perhaps 17".  Length from the bottom to ball at the top 19" long.  The size of the ball is about an inch thick.  As mentioned, the cuff is deep, measuring 3" wide.  Ribbon ties are 17" long.
