Here is a country charmer, a rag doll dating from the late Victorian or early part of the 1900's era. With its pointed head and pointed feet this little cloth clown is endearing.
The face is printed on a tan muslin ~ even the wide grin is sure to catch your eye!
Clown suit of tan and red stripe somewhat faded to a primitive look. Possibly an uncut printed doll that was sold, then assembled and home sewn. Doll is stuffed with a Kapok type filler.
The doll measures 19" tall from the head to foot. Condition: you will find some "lumps and bruises", including a couple of tears in the fabric of the head. Some soiling and staining.
A wonderful little primitive fellow just waiting for a home.
