Look at this, a 1920's vintage German putz twig wheelbarrow. A neat compliment to an Easter decorating scheme or other putz scene. The wheelbarrow is made of wood bark sides alternating with twigs. Each of the bark pieces are shaped to a point. All points are good except one is missing the tip of the point. Looking at it, I believe it has been missing for many years, perhaps even at the time of making, as it has a darken patina of age. The wheel and handle of the wheelbarrow are made of twigs. The cart is stuffed with tiny chips and slivers of wood or dried moss. A cluster of artificial fruit further embellishes the piece.
This cute wheelbarrow measures 9-1/2" long from the wheel to end of handles. 3" wide at the widest point. It stands 4" high, including the fruit. Made in Germany paper label on the bottom.
Condition: Nice except the missing point on one of the bark pieces as I mentioned prior.
What a fun Easter display this would make. Very unique.
